Sharing some favourites!

I have spent a bit of time this week on the skeleton for the site and including a few of our favourite walks. My daughter is 5 and already a keen walker all the walks added so far are walks she has been able to do unaided.

The walks I have added:

Lake Windermere – 1 mile easy
This is more of a tip than a walk as it is just a nice way to get down to Windermere from Ambleside town, it took us years to stumble across it so it is good to save you the pain!

Bridge walk – 3 miles easy
This is a lovely walk from the door of our apartment and straight up into the hills with a beautiful old bridge and stream to have a rest at mid way. We will often do this when there is not much time on arrival or leaving day.

Wansfell Pike – 5-7 miles mid
A nice medium length walk, allow 4 hours and can end at the Marina for refreshments!

Loughrigg – 7-8 miles mid
One of my favourite walks (also a good run). A great mix of hills and lakes/ river.
